kylie from Shanghai, ChinaWhat a surprising image Rags. Love the focus of the rod as it bursts out of the wood. Such a startling contrast! Also, I am a big fan of the bokeh lights in the background :-) 9 Oct 2008 11:34am Mandy Provan from Johannesburg, South AfricaGreat abstract shot Ragsa. I love the DOF, really makes the rod jump out at you. To answer your question on my image from yesterday. It's really easy do the "watermark" look. I did it in Photoshop. First create the rectangle using the Rectangular Marquee Tool. Once you've created the rectangle, press shift F5 and fill it, with a black overlay at 50% opacity. You can add a stroke around the edge to make it stand out more or you can leave it off. Then you use your Text tool to write your name and then flatten the layers before you save it!!! And voila - shaded watermark on your pic! :) Just mail me if you're having problems! 9 Oct 2008 12:21pm Tracey from White Hall, United StatesGreat DOF to bring the attention to the rod. Well done! 9 Oct 2008 1:01pm Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesGood lines. Unusual subject. The simplest things are sometimes the most interesting. 9 Oct 2008 1:11pm baobab from Cambridge, United Statesgreat dof and texture in this shot: a strong contrast between the sharpened processing in the foreground and the blurred-out bokeh in the background. 9 Oct 2008 1:27pm Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomThats a good shot, well placed angle, the DOF makes it an exciting and dynamic image. 11 Oct 2008 8:17am Alejandro Caballero from Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona, SpainMe gusta el angulo de la fotografia, y el enfoque que has conseguido, un saludo. 11 Oct 2008 9:53pm Ginnie from Atlanta, Georgia, United StatesThat's a pretty powerful image, Kanyi! 13 Oct 2008 2:31am |
