I was born and raised in Africa and thinking of the motherland makes me want to sing of its praises. Instead of doing so, i will leave you with this image and hope that you make some sense out of it.

common themes in your work, often
everyday items like salt shakers and keys.
Tactile things, symbolic things.

@Seraphine: Seraphine, i have learnt that sometimes the most interesting things and people are the ones infront of our very eyes. I am striving to keep my eyes open to as my friend puts it; the ordinary-extraordinary.

Nice one, a very creative lettering interpretation. I give my photography students a similar task, but they have to photograph the letters of their names in found shapes. I love the way you have created Africa here.
