Native American RidePosted by Rags (Plano, United States) on 24 January 2008 in Transportation. So for those who have never seen a Native American Snowmobile. Here it is! The Eskimos use this contraption to cruise over the snow in their search for good places to fish. I kinda wish i had a ride like this!

This has been such an informative series!:) 24 Jan 2008 6:46am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaThanks for the look, Rags. I've never seen anything like this. This one looks so well used as well. Excellent shot. 24 Jan 2008 7:35am Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomThat looks like a cool ride, but I bet they cost loads driving it to work everyday, and the neigbours in my street might complain if I parked it outside...... 24 Jan 2008 8:54am @Richard_Irwin: LOL! You are so right! Ginnie from Atlanta, United StatesThat is ingenious, Kanyi! Those Native Americans sure knew/know what they're doing! 24 Jan 2008 9:04am @Ginnie: You are right Ginnie! There is a lot we can learn from them, and vice versa. @>x((((°)c Picto: lol! i checked out your site and though i don't understand French, i thought that your images are really cool. Wolfgang Prigge from CanadaThis is a very early snowmobile, built in the 40's and 50's. The inventor, J.A Bombardier, started out in a small village about 25 minutes from Granby. Today the company he started has grown to a worldwide conglomerate building anything from planes to trains. The link to the Bombardier Museum is here. 24 Jan 2008 6:27pm @Wolfgang Prigge: AWESOME! You are so cool!!!!!! Thanks for the link! Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomAbsolutely outstanding work, Kanyi. And so are all your posts I've missed this past week as well. Truly awesome. I’m so sorry, the part of my brain that usually will say more is not cooperating very well these days. I have tried to explain more in my (over-lengthy!) post today. Best of wishes always to you and yours, Kanyi. 24 Jan 2008 6:32pm Amir from ?, Iranwow, this looks very warm and comfy. Job well done. By the way, did you know that most native people of northern Canada and Alaska (Eskimos) like to be refered to as Inuit 25 Jan 2008 4:02am Daroru from Amagasaki, JapanThat's pretty amazing! Looks like something from a science fiction film. 26 Jan 2008 4:23pm Nick Edens from Toledo, United StatesThis looks like it was taken in Washington, DC at the native American museum.
