I went to Washington DC two weeks ago to clear my mind and visit my relatives. With a camera in hand i was taken around the Washington DC, and Alexandria Virginia area. The following are the images i took. Enjoy! HERE is a link to a bigger image.
Nice angle, I like the tones too.

This is a great shot Kanyi! I like the tones here, along with the framing...and the tree against the sky. All of this works well:) Great shot!

@Amir: Nice suggestion. Here is a bigger image. Hope you like it.
Good angle, your shot conveys the action that the creator of the statue intended I would think.

I think your composition and the angle are really superb. It focuses attention on the overall action which is full of deep emotion. Like Amir though, I’d have preferred a larger image, personally so there can be a more immediate sense of their individual faces, as I can’t help but feel that each one involved in the scenes this statue represents was an individual person after all… each with his personal struggles, choices and dilemmas. Even so, a truly stirring, deeply moving image.

Thank you so much, Kanyi. I do very much like it. The bigger image somehow draws me into the picture so much more, and I find myself wondering what the thoughts and feelings of each person depicted or represented there, if he were alive, would have been at that moment. Thank you again.
