I went to Washington DC two weeks ago to clear my mind and visit my relatives. With a camera in hand i was taken around the Washington DC, and Alexandria Virginia area. The following are the images i took. Enjoy!

Lovely...I like how you captured the duck in front. DC has some beautiful sites and history...I'm sure you had a memory card full of shots

Absolutely magnificent piece. I love this composition. I agree with Jen and Amir, the duck just where it is makes this already terrific image extra special.

I always love seeing the DC area through other people's eyes, Kanyi. I'll really look forward to this series.

Very nice. I hope your visit was much more pleasant than what I read about the first time in Washington for Life Magazine photographer Gordon Parks.

Rags I'm enjoying this series, especially since I was in DC a couple of months ago and it's really cool to see familiar scenes through your unique lens.

Like the timing of the duck in the forground. On a technical note it looks like quite a few of your photos lean down to the right. This is a problem with many photographers and usually comes from pressing the shutter button and dropping your right arm. Although easily fixed in photoshop if you are conscious of it you will eventually grow out of doing it.
