To Microwave or not to Microwave my Turkey

I hate to interrupt the Kelly Garrett series but I had to share something personal with you.

It's Thanksgiving Day here in America. This is essentially a day where countless turkeys meet their maker and families and friends meet to eat, eat and eat.

Though the event has become totally commercial, it has one underlying theme. The theme of giving thanks. So let me pose this question to all you lovely people: What are you thankful for?

You have two options: A) a smaller bird or B) a bigger oven!
Anyway, a turkey is better the oldfashioned way..
I'm thankful for family, the fact that I'm reasonably healthy and can enjoy my retirement in a peaceful and peaceloving country...

I'm thankful to my mother who pushed and pulled me through High School! Very nice picture, reminds of Mr. Bean. Don't microwave it, an old Chinese saying says: In case of dount, don't do it. Seems wise.

Hi Rags, sorry for the late posting...

I am thankful for my health, my wife Phyllis the love of my life, my dogs, the other loves of my life... and the fact that I have 3 beings that love me unconditionally.

Hope you found great things to be thankful for my friend.

I can only imagine bad things happening to that unfortunate bird in the microwave ;-) Not that I'm any kind of cook, but oven-baked brined turkey usually seems to taste good, retain moisture and cook quickly - or so I'm told.

And I am thankful to [still] be alive, to love and be loved.
